So I would say that mobile devices easily could handle CC. The warnings on our devices are really scaring for most I don't agree completely with your explanation because it is now standard for newer mobile devices to have (at least) 32 GB memory and I remember CC for PC games even back in the days where a PC didn't have even 1 GB on its harddrive. But even I wouldn't usually dare such things and I don't believe that many simmers would even go that far. But on PCs Microsoft still just allow us to install everything we want from all kinds of places without giving us any warningsĪnyway I was curious enough to install the new Sims Mobile on my Samsung tablet even though I had to install it from an "unknown place" here in Denmark to be able to do it. Therefore the point is that even if a modder made a mod for a mobile game then it would still be very difficult to distribute this mod because not many of us would dare to compromise the security of our device. But when we do that we get a warning about security - and how many of us would have the courage to just ignore such a warning? But it is a little easier than on an iOS device because we can allow our android device to install from unknown places in the settings for our device. But who would do that?)Īndroid devices don't allow us to install things from "unknown places" either by default. (It can be done through iTunes on a computer anyway though. But maybe an offline game like the mobile Sims 3 games were.) How should he then distribute his mod to other simmers?Īpple's App Store and devices don't allow us to install anything from other places. (Not necessesarily a MMO game like this one. Let us assume that a modder on modthesims made a mod for a mobile Sims game. How does one mod a mobile game though? Yeah I've got bootleg unlimited cash games but I have never seen mods and CC for a mobile game
